You have a strong draw – We seek bands that can regularly attract a healthy audience. The Utah has a capacity of 79. If you have a line-up that can fill the room, we’d love to hear about it. If you don’t have a huge audience, how else can you help out?
Active and focused social media – Are you active online? Do you regularly post about shows and engage your followers? We are looking for bands who will get the word out and make some noise on social.
Content is king – Do you have hi-resolution photos, videos, and graphics that clearly communicate your sound and style? Do you know what high-resolution means?
Understanding of sound control in a small room – The Utah is a small room that does not require much volume. Please make sure you’ve honed your stage dynamics before reaching out. We mic amps and can make bedroom volume sound like a stadium. 40 watt amps are king at The Utah!
You carefully preserve your draw by not overplaying – Specifically, you won’t book shows in the Bay Area one month before, or promote SF shows within 30 days after, until you’ve played your show with us.
